Wintergreen Christmas Tree Farm is located on the coast of the Saanich Inlet in the countryside town of Mill Bay, BC. Our trees are planted as seedlings and raised without the use of harmful chemicals. The ground surrounding the trees is blanketed with clover, a natural weed fighter and soil enhancer (and bee favourite!).
These past several years have seen hotter, dryer summers and we have needed to implement more rigorous irrigation methods to keep our trees healthy. These summers are hard on our young seedlings and as a result we are now seeing a shortage of trees. Our improved irrigation is showing positive results and we hope to see our numbers return to normal in the coming years. This summer provided more ideal growing conditions, with periods of hot weather mixed with consistent rainfall and our trees are looking very happy!
